Kem One mobilised for an extraordinary crisis exercise

On May 17, 2022, Kem One took part in the Domino crisis exercise in the Bouches-du-Rhône region, a simulation of large-scale industrial accidents in the Martigues-Fos area. This civil security exercise, organised by the State, involved local authorities, industrialists and emergency services around a disaster scenario.

NEW YORK AND LYON, France – December 17, 2021 – Apollo (NYSE: APO) today announced that funds managed by its affiliates (the “Apollo Funds”) have completed the acquisition of Kem One Group (“Kem One” or the “Company”) from De Krassny GmbH. Kem One is a leading European producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), used mainly in construction, packaging and medical applications, as well as caustic soda. The Company operates eight industrial sites across France and Spain.

Kem One launches the building of the first hybrid vessels for the Rhône complying with the new regulation

By late 2022, Kem One will put into service two hybrid-engine vessels that comply with the new regulation on pollutant emissions. The company will be the first on the Rhône to make its fleet green, reducing the carbon emitted in transporting its raw materials by 2,000 tonnes every year.
