CSR and climate issues are at the heart of Kem One’s values and business plan. The company’s purpose is to offer essential, sustainable products derived from salt chemistry, making daily improvements on the preservation of resources and the climate.

In line with our vision of building a resilient, diversified international player that is the global benchmark for the vinyl sector in terms of carbon emissions, our CSR strategy is based on 4 pillars, with responsible governance as a fifth cross-cutting pillar.

RESPONSIBLE GOVERNANCE

Kem One’s CSR department is responsible for the CSR strategy, coordinating the roadmap and measuring impact. It is supported by a network of CSR leaders in charge of the development and deployment of the CSR strategy in their business lines.

A network of CSR ambassadors on the sites is in charge of providing training and raising awareness on CSR, setting up local unifying actions.

Ambitious objectives have been defined, with absolute priority given to the safety of our employees and partners, the development of a new range of sustainable products and services, and an environmental policy. This is based on 5 key areas: water, air, the circular economy, biodiversity and climate, for which quantified targets have been defined in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

KEM ONE JOINING GLOBAL COMPACT IN 2024

Kem One joined the United Nations’ Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, which is committed to implementing sustainable and socially responsible practices based on ten principles relating to human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption.
