History

KEM ONE benefits from nearly a century of expertise in chlorochemicals and more than 70 years in vinyl products. Looking back at the last thirty years :

1983 : Creation of Atochem, 100% subsidiary of Elf Aquitaine, after the merger of ATO Chimie, Chloé Chimie and most of the PCUK Group (Ugine Kuhlmann Chemical Products)

1992 : Atochem changes its name and becomes Elf Atochem

2000 : Creation of Atofina, completing the merger of TotalFina and Elf’s chemical business

2004 : Creation of Arkema, following the reorganisation of the Total group’s chemical branch. KEM ONE’s current business developed as part of Arkema’s Vinyl Products division

2006 : In May, Arkema becomes an independant group

2012 : In July, Arkema divests vinyl business to the Klesch Group. Creation of KEM ONE, a new company fully integrated in the vinyl sector

2013 : In December, The Commercial Court of Lyon officially approved the business continuity takeover plan for KEM ONE

2014 : In February, Alain de Krassny, French industrialist, became President of KEM ONE
