Significant investment on the industrial platform of Balan

KEM ONE has announced today the launch of a significant investment on the industrial platform of Balan (Ain-France). This project, which is to replace the existing boilers, is a part of the KEM ONE Recovery Plan. Its commissioning is planned for September 2015.

This major project for KEM ONE aims to renovate and optimize steam distribution across the entire industrial platform of Balan. Thus, the new steam boiler, with a total capacity of 58 tons / hour will replace the old equipment and is planned to start in September 2015.

Carried out in close cooperation with Dalkia, the boiler replacement will reduce the environmental footprint of the industrial platform of Balan, in lowering CO2 emissions, increase significantly the reliability of the site steam supply, but also reduce the cost of steam production by improving the natural gas consumption performance.

According to Philippe Anselm, Regional Sales Director for Dalkia, "this project which has been integrated into the evolution of the site energy master plan by KEM ONE technical teams, fully illustrates Dalkia expertise in energy efficiency."

This new industrial project is fully in line with the KEM ONE Recovery Plan.
