Appointment of the new President of KEM ONE

This appointment has been finalised after the purchase of KEM ONE SAS shares by Alain de Krassny and OpenGate Capital, under the terms of the takeover plan accepted by the Lyon Commercial Courton December 20th 2013.

Alain de Krassny (71 years) is a graduate from “Ecole Nationale de Chimie de Lille” and holds a Master of Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from INSEAD. He joined the Rhône-Poulenc Group, in 1972, where he held various industrial positions mainly in Europe. In 1997, he acquired DONAU CHEMIE, a subsidiary of this industrial group based in Austria.

DONAU CHEMIE is specialized in basic chemistry, distribution of chemicals, production and reactivation of activated carbon and production of liquid detergents, antifreeze and cosmetic products for supermarkets. 

KEM ONE, a major European player in the vinyl sector, has been chaired since February 2014, by the French Industrialist Alain de Krassny. More than 1,200 people located at 8 manufacturing sites - Balan (Ain), Saint -Fons (Rhône), Saint-Auban (Alpes de Haute-Provence), Berre, Fos-sur-Mer and Lavéra (Bouches du Rhône), Vauvert (Gard) and Hernani (Spain) and at the LyonHeadquarter  – make, everyday, their know-how available to their company and their customers.Third European PVC producer with a turnover of more than € 900 million, KEM ONE has many key assets to strengthen its leading position in its markets.
