On the stand, Kem One will be presenting the technical benefits of PVC for general purpose, in particular mass PVC, the special features of emulsion PVC and its innovations. The technical conference will focus on PVC recycling and will be led by experts from Kem One's Research & Innovation department.
At this event, the company will use its products and innovations to illustrate its purpose: "offering essential and sustainable products from salt chemistry while contributing everyday to a better preservation of resources and the climate".
17 April - 11.45 am TECHNICAL PRESENTATION ON PVC RECYCLING
Kem One's advances in PVC recycling and the circular economy will be presented, along with the company's commitments as part of its CSR strategy deployed in 2024.
On April 17 at 11:45 a.m., Kem One's innovation and R&D experts will lead a conference on the theme of PVC recycling entitled "Extraction of legacy Additives from end-of-life PVC profiles through selective dissolution". This solution developed by Kem One enables the recycling of end-of-life building products (window profiles in particular) by purifying them of "legacy additives", which are products that were used in the past and are now banned (heavy metals such as lead salts for example).
IMPROVED CARBON FOOTPRINT FOR KEM ONE PRODUCTS
The experts on stand will also reveal the official figures for the carbon footprint of mass PVC produced in France (decarbonated electricity). The carbon footprint calculation for Kem One products has been updated and validated by APAVE. It defines Greenhouse Gas emissions (expressed in "ton CO2 equivalent") from the extraction of raw materials to the factory gate (known as "cradle to gate"). This value, which is often better than that of European PVC manufacturers, demonstrates the company's commitment to its raison d'être: “Offering essential and sustainable products from salt chemistry while contributing everyday to a better preservation of resources and the climate”.
